Desiree

Desiree is a sweet cat who is both blind and deaf. 

She was brought to us by a rescue who was helping another shelter that was going thorough some difficult times.  These wonderful people drove 12 hours to bring her and 2 others to join us.

She is quite the talker, you touch her and she immediately responds with head butts.

3/26/2012   We made a very special exception to our adoption rule and allowed Desiree to be adopted.  :)

Our employee Lauren had fallen in love with Desiree, and Desiree with her.   We allowed her to take her home with her recently when she was sick so she could closely moniter her and Desiree was like a changed cat.  No more peeing all over the floor,  loud meowing (screamign) etc...   a different cat.  Lauren begged us to allow her to keep her.  She knows of all of Desirees short comings and was willing to deal with them,  and she has other animals that she takes good care of so how could we not allow Desiree a home ??   We are happy for her.... :)
