With your help, we can do so much more. Programs to spay and neuter are one part of the solution. Adopt-a-shelter-pet campaigns are another. And for those precious little furry folks who can’t find a home of their own, there is Blind Cat Rescue. You’ll be giving them nutritious food, quality medical care, toys to bat and posts to scratch — all in clean, comfortable surroundings … and delivered with a whole lot of love.
I think often of a wonderful Gandhi quote, “The greatness of a nation … can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Please be our partner in helping make this nation great.

Leave a legacy in your will
A donor can designate Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc as a recipient of all or any portion of his/her estate; however, this can only be accomplished through a Will or other estate-planning document. Your attorney will be able to set this up for you.
Buildings and land excellent gifts to Blind Cat Rescue. These can be outright gifts, for which the donor may be able to take a tax deduction for the current fair market value of the property. Personal or secondary residences may be gifts as a life estate, with the legal provision for lifetime residency of the donor and spouse. In the case of a life estate, ownership interest would be transferred to Blind Cat Rescue, and the donor may be entitled to a current tax deduction. The donor and spouse could choose to continue to reside in the home as long as they live or convey the home at some time in the future. Talk to your attorney or tax advisor for more information.
Planned gifts can have a big impact if made in the form of life insurance. There are ways life insurance might be used to benefit a charitable organization. For example, the donor might wish to take out a new policy or change an existing policy and designate Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. as the beneficiary. Premiums may be tax deductible and represent a modest investment when compared to the death benefit that would be used to impact the cats at Blind Cat Rescue.
