Fred is blind and FIV+. He came to us from the Wake County Animal Control Center (a kill shelter). Lucky for him, this is a good shelter that does everything possible to find a place for the animals so they have a very low kill rate.
Two days after he arrived he became very sick and was hospitalized with a 106 fever! He had stopped eatting and had one heck of a bad upper respiratory infection. Cats catch all kinds of bad things in the pound and he was there for 3 weeks so he had plenty of time to be exposed. We had the vet give him a feeding tube. Lots of loving care and good antibiotics he finally started eating again and has recovered from his illness.
He is a super friendly fellow that loves to be pet. He rubs all over you and will follow you all over the room :)
