Gracie came to us from a wonderful rescue in Kansas City. Gracie’s previous owner, who had had her for 4 years since she was a kitten, was moving with his girlfriend and decided that dealing with the cat was too much and took her to his vet and instructed the vet to put her down. Thank goodness the vet asked instead if she could find a new home for her and he agreed. A wonderful angel named Peg, who has a rescue there, took her in and fostered her while searching for a forever home for her. She put Gracie’s story on the Internet where we saw it and volunteered to give her a home. She is a wonderful sweet girl.

Sadly, August 21, 2004 Gracie passed away from liver failure. She will always be remembered in our hearts. She was a sweet gentle soul.
