Marge was rescued by Jennifer along with Shelly, Homer & Clementine.

Marge came from a breeder who wasn't able to sell her because she didn't "meet the breed standards." She came with with a very bad eye infection. Both eyes were full of pus and swollen. She was diagnosed with a viral herpes infection. After about a month of treatment, she had to have her right eye removed because it was bulging and painful. She has always been a very sweet, playful little girl. If you drag something noisy in front of her, she will bat at it and catch it with her paw.

Jennifer discovered quickly how hard it is to find a home for a blind cat in Texas,  the shelters all said they would kill them.  She put them on a plane and flew them to us.

Marge is a very nice lady, who has become much friendly as she has gotten older.

7/29/10  We took Marge for her normal checkup and dental and were horrified to discover that she has mouth cancer.  The vet said that when she went to intubate her she discovered the growths.  She removed them but is sure, because of the size, location and type of cancer, that she did not get them all.   While Marge was there we also had her remaining eye removed.  It was weepy and infected so much that I felt it would make her more comfortable to just take it out since she could not see out of it any way.  We will be keeping a close eye on her.

8/4/10  Great news!  The biopsy said it was not cancer, it was a strange benign growth  YEAH!
Couple of days after having her eye removed
