Peanut was found by a nice couple in Charlotte NC. Their dogs were barking like crazy and when they went out to investigate, they found Peanut. These wonderful people rushed him to Urgent Care because his eyes were messed up and then took him to their regular vet for a check up. People like this give me hope for humanity! Most won't do anything for a stray.... They contacted us to see if we would accept him and after hearing the story, we said yes.... and they also made a nice donation towards the building fund!

Update Monday Nov 27,2006 Peanut started apprearing to not be feeling well over the weekend. He was still active, etc but had a very bad breath odor. We brought him to the vets this morning as soon as they opened because Peanut had developed horrible mouth ulcers during the night. He did NOT have them at 9 pm Sunday night because I had looked inside his mouth when I gave him his vitamins. The vet did alot of tests etc, and found that he had developed a full blown case of FIP. After a long discussion and alot of research on line, the painful decision to help him over the rainbow bridge was reached. He would not be able to have quality and quanity of life.... apparently with kittens, when it hits, it hits fast and furious.

"Good bye little guy, you were not here long enough!" His friendly personality will be greatly missed! We brought him home and buried him in our rainbow garden with a rose bush to mark his grave.

This picture was taken on Thanksgiving day while we were trying to decorate the Xmas tree. Peanut decided he wanted to help. It is so hard to imagine that a few days later he would be gone.

Peanut and my big tom cat Airborne. Peanut loved to knead and would get on the rocking chair with Airborne and knead Airborne's belly like crazy and then curl up for a nap with his buddy.
