Sheila was turned in to Miami Dade Animal Control as a stray. She was very lucky that there is a wonderful rescue in Miami that works hard at getting as many animals out of there alive. Sheila is FELV+. They contacted us to see if we had room for her. Not only did they pull her, they also pulled Sara (who is also FELV+) from the shelter  from the shelter, they found a temporary foster home for her, took her to the vet to get her medical certificate and a volunteer drove her to us. She shows how much of a village it sometimes takes to save a life. She is super super sweet.
