Sissy
Approximate Age (As of 2017): Less than 1 year Breed: Domestic Short Hair Status: FELV+ Date Arrived: Sept 2017 Arrival Location: Georgia When we agreed to take Sissy were had been told Sissy was a sister. We named this cat Sissy because the brothers nick names are Hissy and Pissy because they hiss and are not super friendly with us. (Still a bit feral) So it would be Hissy, Pissy & Sissy. Welllll, well Sissy went to our vet after arriving our vet asked were we aware that Sissy was actually a boy? No, we had not gotten that personal with Sissy. (big smile) We decided to let Sissy keep the name, kind of a boy named Sue thing :) Sissy was found as a kitten living under a parking ramp with his feral mother and siblings. The kind woman who found them worked hard to capture Thor along with his brother Loki who also live at BCR . She later was able to catch Sissy. Their mother still avoids the traps. She fell in love with the kittens and wanted to give them a home with her and her other cats, but they tested feline leukemia positive. Heartbroken, she started looking for a good home for them where they could stay together. Sissy is still very shy at the moment and still getting used to humans. He loves to play. You may watch them 24 hours a day LIVE on their MeShare camera They are in House 2, Room 1.

1/16/2018 We noticed Sissy had begun losing weight and took him to the vet. Sadly blood work confirmed our our fears that he may also develop FIP like his brothers. FIP is 100% fatal and they suffer so badly at the end. We did not want that for him. We let him go. He purred to the end. He had become so much friendlier in the last few weeks. We were very happy to have had the opportunity to love on him. Now he is back with his brothers.
