Emily

2011 Little Emily was born to a stray. The people who fed the strays saw that she had some serious eye problems. Unable to afford her medical needs they asked us for help. Isn’t she adorable? As soon as she gets to 2 pounds we will get her bad eye removed and get her spayed. Until then she is on antibiotics for her eye and doing well. UPDATE: She has been spayed, had her bad eye removed and is growing up to be a happy healthy girl. You may watch her LIVE 24/7 on our MeShare She is in room 2 11/2020 Update. Emily has developed tumors in her abdomen. We have started her on chemo medications. We don’t know how much time she will have but we will do our best to fill it with lots of love! 6/14/2021 RIP This is a letter that I just can't wrap my head around that I am writing. Friday we took Emily to the vet because she was running a 10. fever and had stopped eating.   She was of course hospitalized, new blood work and x-rays were done.  We had had her at the vet for an abdominal ultrasound on 6/3 because of weight loss.   The ultrasound found many abnormalities in her abdomen and bowels that all gave a strong suspension of lymphoma.  Last night at 10:30 the vet called me to tell me that Emily had started having respiratory problems.  Despite doing everything they could she died.  I was shocked and heartbroken!!  My precious Emily, gone.  She was too young and full of life...  I just can't believe it.  We are, of course, having a necropsy done to see if it will give us an answer.  (Sadly the majority never give you a clear answer) Emily was a fun, friendly, affectionate little kitty who loved to run and play. She was a joy to all that knew her.  She will be very very missed.  The necrosy showed severe bacterial infection caused by e-coli I am sorry Alana
