Gomez
8/18 Gomez is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us from Animal Control in Georgia. Blessed with a wonderful group of volunteers they raised the money to properly test him to verify he was in fact leukemia positive and drove 6 hours each way to bring him to us. He is super human friendly. Other cats, he does not like them at all. Actually attacks them. We hope he settles down quickly. We have gotten him neutered now, we hope this will help him calm down. Update: Gomez absolutely hates other cats. We found him one room mate (he seems to like young kittens) so he has Gum Drop with him for company. He is quite the fellow. Sadly leukemia claimed Gum Drop, so Gomez is alone. We have not been able to find a cat that he will accept.

3/25/2021 RIP Gomez This is a letter I am surprised to be writing. Gomez is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us 8/2018 from an animal control facility.  He is a friendly fellow to most humans but hated with an absolute passion other cats.   Because he lived alone, the staff made sure to spend extra time with him and I would often sit on his patio at night with him for a time.  Last night I went to visit with him and found him on the patio unable to stand. I am guessing he had thrown a clot.  I scooped him up and rushed him to the vet.  The vet agreed with me that we needed to let him go. He went over the rainbow purring in my arms.    We will never forget him.  he was a sweet cat :)
