2013 Sierra was rescued from the pound by a group in Alabama. To their sadness
she tested FELV+. To their credit, they did the right thing and worked very
hard to find a place for her to go. (Many "rescues" just euthanize them when
they are positive.) They went way beyond the call that many rescues do to keep
her safe. They fully vetted her and raised the money to rent a car and a volunteer
and her brother drove 10 hours to bring her to us.
She is super super sweet and will be starting on the immunostimulant program in
hopes that it helps prolong her life. She fit right in with the group like she had
always been here.
12/26/2013 Sadly leukemia took another angel too soon. Sierra was a
friendly playful little girl who will be missed.
