Meet The Boone Man
Big Boone has been with us for approx 5 years. He is a big cat, over 20 pounds!  He also has his own personal harem, he is the only male in his room. Boone came to us from animal control in Boone NC, thus his  name, Boone.
Here he is with some of his girls.
He is a friendly cat.  Using Lisa as a pillow
Who would have guessed this big cat loves catnip?

Meet the Staff
Meet Cassie
Cassie has been with us almost 2 years.  She is the voice you hear doing noon tour on Monday & Tuesday. She is 27,  single, and is a very talented photographer, and seamstress.  She repairs the cat’s beds when they tear. When you see us post a really high quality picture,  she probably took it.  She loves the cats, we are very lucky to have her with us.
Cat Updates
Snicker is doing well.  The thing he had in his lung is now very small and has not grown.  The vets have him off medicine and will go back for another cat scan to make sure it has not grown with him off of the medicine.
Cassie & Tabitha
Greta - a pretty blind torti
Greta had her feeding tube removed.  She regained all the weight  she had lost The cardiologist  has her on plavix.  The steroids that she has to have to control her asthma has made her diabetic.  We can deal with that :)  Breathing is important.
Bob - a gray tabby
Good news,  Bob is no longer insulin dependent.

You are invited!
We have a monthly open house.  The schedule is above.  You may visit and play with the cats other times too.  Hours are Monday - Saturday  1- 4pm   If you want to help us clean first, we start at 8:30 am and then you can play with the cats. We have a guest house available if you would like to come and stay for a few days and help. We do NOT adopt so you can visit without worrying that you will be pressured to adopt. i promise you will not take a cat home.
Domino  (FIV/FELV+) has lost some weight, started running a high fever (105+), was of course hospitalized.  He has a feeding tube, Had an ultrasound today that shows an area of his intestines give us concern.  His blood work gives us strong indications that we are dealing with something ugly, we just don’t  know what yet.  Thoughts are cancer or FIP.  He is also diabetic,  insulin is handling that.
Stevie - a black blind cat wrapped around a supporters head
Stevie the head scarf (he does this to lots of people) has been sick and hospitalized.  Ultrasound shows he had Irritable bowel disease.  I will do some research and share info with you more about cause etc. If you have lots of experience with successfully managing feline IBD,  please email me  alana@blindcatrescue.com
RIP - Ray black and white cat
RIP 1-1-2016   Cancer of the intestine
RIP  1/17/2016  Blood Clot
