BONNIE
Dear sweet Bonnie baby. You were so small yet
you touched lives in a big way. Your absence
causes a huge void. You gave your parents 8 years
of joy and happiness and you left a lifetime of
memories for them to cherish. Thank you for all
that you brought to their lives. RIP 12/28/10
Zhangy
To my beautiful little boy Zhangy. When I
saved your life from that restaurant in
Beijing little did I know what joy you would
bring me in my life. You were my faithful
and loving companion in China, Germany
and back in the USA. You were my lap kitty
and, to this day, I still feel the emptiness in
my lap. I know you are at peace now and
watching over me. Thank you for the 13
wonderful years you were in my life. Too
short but better than never having known you
at all. I miss you! RIP 9/28/2010.
My beloved Fufu (black and white) crossed the rainbow
bridge on December 7, 2011. In July 1995 I saved him,
his three brothers and his little sister, they were just
a few days old. Fufu stayed with me and was my
companion, so affectionate, so soothing, and also
Pepette's one (this grey and white princess left us
on March 26, 2010).
He saved me. He was a warrior, very brave until the
end, despite his kidney disease. He was a very beautiful
soul and I miss him so much even though I know he
left peacefully without suffering too much. He was
and will be forever my Angel.
Thank you for all, you taught me so many great lessons.
I love you my Baby-Cat.

Griffin
It's taken me a while to write this letter. It hasn't
been easy since I lost my very special cat Griffin
on February 14. This past Valentine's Day, I had
to put my 11-year-old best friend to sleep. He
had been sick for several months and didn't seem
to be responding to any treatment. It just came to
the point where a decision had to be made. It was
one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, and
I miss him all the time.
Griffin has a long and interesting story, but I'll
try to make it brief and share the basics. He came
from a farm and was the runt of the litter. I fell in
love with him at first sight. He was playful and
determined and the white tip on his tail was
adorable. His energy levels were through the
roof, and he always made me smile. When he hit
about 5 or 6, I started to notice he was bumping
into furniture. Eventually he started having
accidents, and I took him to a vet who
immediately told me, "He's blind." I cried in the
vet's office, not knowing what that meant for his
future, or what to do. Thankfully, I had a very
supportive vet (Dr. McGuire at Queen Village
Animal Hospital in Philadelphia). He
recommended a kitty eye doctor (I had no idea
they existed!), who told me Griffin had maybe 5-
10% vision. I couldn't afford the expensive tests
to find out why, so I took him home and just
tried to cope with it. I did a lot of reading about
how blind cats led happy lives, and I made a few
minor adjustments to the house. Griffin amazed
me with how adaptable he was. My other cat (a
very sassy tuxedo girl named Sascha) is far more
finicky than Griffin ever was. He never stopped
jumping into the window to enjoy the sun, or
figuring out how to climb on things. We had
many happy years and he was always my best
buddy, snuggling and loving me when I needed
it. Several years were very rough for me, but I
was able to pull through with good friends,
loving family, and my two kitties who brought
smiles to my face.
As Griffin aged, he didn't handle stress as easily.
He started to change. He became less mobile. He
wanted to be a lump of cat in my lap all the time,
and I tried to make him as comfortable as
possible. Eventually his health started to go, and
I couldn't watch him suffer any longer. His
disease (cystitis) didn't seem to get better with
medication, diet adjustments, etc. This leads me
to believe he had some other issues happening.
Saying goodbye to him on a holiday that is
meant to celebrate love felt so incredibly awful,
but it wouldn't have been any easier on another
day of the year. He was so loving, and I try to
think about it now as though it was a sign — a
reminder to love unconditionally and with all
your heart, no matter what life throws at you.
Griffin is proof that blind cats are capable of so
much love and companionship. You support
such a wonderful cause, and I'm so glad I came
across your organization.
Thanks for letting me share a little bit of
Griffin's story with you. Thanks for accepting
my humble donation in Griffin's honor. I
attached a photo of him. He was very handsome
WHISKEY RIVER SANCHEZ
In Remembrance of Whiskey River Sanchez.
Whiskey came into my life when she was only
a few months old and was with me for 18 short
years. She is loved and missed not only by us
but also by her best friend Tsunami. Until we
see you again Baby...
In Remembrance of Tommy Kat
Sanchez
Our precious Tommy Kat was just a few months
old when we rescued him from the local shelter.
We were looking for a lost cat at the time and
after numerous unsuccessful trips in hopes of him
being found we decided to bring home this kitten
that had been at the shelter for weeks. We named
him Tommy Kat and he quickly became part of
our family. He loved to watch TV with us and
would lay on his back waiting for someone to
give him a belly rub. Tommy Kat began his
journey to the Rainbow Bridge on January 31,
2013 and is survived by his grieving parents Tony
& Rhonda, and siblings Tsunami & Stormy who
are still at his very moment looking for him.
Tommy Kat was preceded on his journey by his
sibling Whiskey River Sanchez
