Simba
In memory of our Simba
Deeply cherished, Dearly missed. Never forgotten.
We rescued him and vice versa
BUNSO
Four cats were roaming our neighborhood
looking for food. We eventually decided to feed
them because we noticed that they looked frail.
We gave on of those cats the name of Bunso
In our local language, that literally means
“youngest one of the family”. He was the smallest
among the 4 adult cats, which led us to believe
(due to our lack of knowledge with cats) that he
was the youngest. He actually turned out to be
the eldest.
Bunso had many things going for him. He had
round, big and adorable eyes and a cute
high-pitched meow and sometimes
he slept in some funky positions. He also made
a light splashing sound that was distinct and
more audible than what the other cats did when
drinking water. Bunso ate slowly and looked at
me from time to time when eating as if he was
asking for permission or approval. I would stand
watch as he ate so that the bigger cats will not
invade his space and take away his food. Bunso
did not warm up to me easily even though I
always give him food. This made the act of being
able to pet him seem even more special once
he allowed me too.
Bunso passed away on April 17, 2014 due to
old age.
I will miss you Bunso and everything about you.
I hope you enjoyed your time with us. I love you.
Thank you for coming into my life.
Emmet The Cat
Emmet the cat will forever roam the back
wood and shore of Fall Lake in beautiful
Ely, MN. He will trot along the trails
amongst the green leaves of summer looking
for an opportunity or perhaps he might
just take a spin hanging upside down off
the porch railing. He may also be found up
in a tree playing statue guarding the
little house that sits nearby. In the winter
months he will stop by and say hi to his
siblings in the retirement home in Chisholm.
If they don’t feel up for cuddling, Emmet
will always find a warm lap close by and let
you know he is content with a soft “mew mew”.
Although gone in presence we feel your spirit
and if we ever forget we just have to look at
the ink you left behind. You were one of a
kind. Rest in peace in kitty heaven Old Man.
You will be forever missed.
Nellie
Nellie Isabella left us last year. She left behind her
step-brother, Sammy, and her two human caretakers.
We still miss her very much.
