Meet Frankie
Miss Frankie got her name for her big blue eyes. Yeap
for us older farts, she was named for old Blue eyes
himself, Frank Sinatra.
Frankie is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us from
Animal Control in SC. She is a very sweet kitty
who has not decided how she feels about the other cats.
You may watch her live 24/7 on her #meshare camera
Meet Vinnie
Vinnie is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us from animal
control in Kentucky. He is a very nice kitty who has had a very
rough life. X-rays show that he has suffered trauma to his lower
extremities. He has several vertebrae processes that have been
broken, a broken leg that is healing and his other leg is going to
have surgery to repair unhealed damage. We are guessing
he was hit by a car.
They are both very grateful that because of your support they
get to live.
Cat Updates
Paul has lymphoma. He is still eating, active but
does seem to get tired quicker. He is still slowly
losing weight but eating. When he lets us know it is
time we will let him go.

Meet Suzanne
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well to me this one
speaks volumes. Everyone that looks at this picture I am sure will
see something. It might be the same thing I see or it might be
something different. What I see is the purest form of love there is.
The love of a person for a animal and a animal for a person, in this
case a cat. Plain and simple love. No expectations, no requirements,
just love in the purest form.
The person in the photo is Suzanne and the cat is Treasure.

How do I get my cat to use
the litter box?
Not using a litter box is the 2nd most reason
given for cats being taken to shelters.
Jackson Galaxy did a blog with 10 points for you to
consider. I am going to recap them and give you the
link to read the meat and potatoes.
1. One Box per cat + 1
2. Detective work begins with a vet visit.
Cats get crystals very easily, when you take your
cat in for a check up make sure they do a
urine analysis. You may have a problem brewing
That you can catch before it becomes a problem.
3. Location, Location, Location
4. The smell of the litter
Jackson recommends The World’s Best Cat Litter.
Our personal experience is that is the nastiest litter
we have ever used and even if they sent it to us free
again we would not want it. Years ago we won a
contest with a prize of 5000 pounds of this litter.
The rooms smelled horrible from it. The boxes on
the cat patios developed thousands of bugs.
The cats would not use it.
5. The feel of the litter.
6. The volume of the litter.
7. The Box itself.
We use large storage totes. We cut the sides
down for some of the cats who have a problem
getting in and out.
8. To Lid or not to lid
9. The angle (position) of the box.
10. Scoop the box! They want it clean. When
you go into a store and some one has not flushed
you go to another stall. You won’t go in if it is
dirty, why would you expect them to?

I have a few personal comments to make.
Check to see what has changed in your world.
Is there an unfixed cat marking outside?
Try a calming collar. They seem to help our cats.
Try Dr. Esleys Precious Cat Attract cat litter.
It is pricey but has a money back guarantee. You can
get it much cheaper at Petsmart, Petco, Pet
supermarket than at Amazon.
Another one we use is Precious Cat Dr. Elsey’s
Senior litter. It is very soft like sand and helps
prevent urinary infections. You can also get it
at Petsmart etc. Price wise it might be just as cheap
at Amazon.
How to remove Pee Smell.
There are so many products that swear they
remove the smell. Here is a link to an
inexpensive method to try. Does it work? I have no idea.
The only thing I have ever found that completely
removes the smell is bleach.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to
