FeLV Positive Gender: Male Approximate age: 3 years old Arrived From: Lexington, NC Arrival Day: 1-15-2024 This handsome leukemia-positive chap comes to us from Lexington, NC. Lucky for him he was noticed as a new stray by two amazing women who feed and get vet care for the stray cats in their area. They began to feed BJ and he walked right in one of their homes! He was clearly not a stray but had been around people before. They took him to the vet and when he tested positive they knew he needed a safe place to go. Because of his condition, he had to live in a bathroom away from non-positive cats, which is not ideal, so his caretaker was thrilled when we could take him here. They really wanted the absolute best for him and both wonderful women drove him down to us! BJ is a wonderfully friendly and loving cat who loves to give head bonks and always seems to have his little tongue poking out. We had BJ fixed and he’s recently started taking supplements to keep his kidneys and heart healthy. With help from the staff, he’s adjusting to his new life in House 2, Room 1!
5/2024 Bob Jr. (BJ) was noticed in the litter box straining and it was evident he was constipated. He was taken to the vet and was diagnosed with IBD. (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)
