Lisa
2011 Little Lisa came to us from Bladen County Animal Control Center. This is a high kill facility. Lucky for Lisa, a volunteer let us know she was there. Lisa is a super sweet little girl who is being treated for pneumonia, worms, fleas and hemobart. She will be going in to be spayed etc as soon as she is healthier. She currently (2011) has a feeding tube (as you can see in the pictures) but has started eating on her own again. One more week of antibiotics and she will get it out. This little girl does NOT like to take medicine and fight you, which is funny considering how little she is :) She is feeling so much better after 8 days of medicine and the vet said she can play with the others, she is not contagious to them now. 8/13 Lisa is a healthy feisty girl who loves to play. You may watch her 24 hours a day LIVE on her MEShare Camera. She is in Room House 2, Room 3 6/2021 Lisa has developed some kind of infection and has spent a week in the ICU in Raleigh. Our vets ran tons of tests, she had 2 plasma transfusions and a blood transfusion, xrays- ultrasounds and so many tests. We still as of today 6/18/2021 have no clue what is wrong with her. She is home now with a feeding tube and tons of meds and now we wait and see what her body does. We hope the blood transfusion kicks in and helps her body become healthy again. She is still feisty. 8/26/2021 She is finally almost back to healthy after this almost fatal infection. We discovered that it was E-Coli. We will never k now where it came from but we are glad she survived this massive infection.
