Sterling
BlindGender: MaleApproximate age:Arrived From: MarylandArrival Day: 2012Sterling is another cat from a hoarding situation. When he was rescued, he wasnumber 27 of 39 cats! He was very ill with an upper respiratory infection and infested with lice. Before coming to BCR, he was held for 40 days at animal control to get him cleaned up and healthy. A wonderful rescue group in Maryland was helping to place the cats asked if we could take him. We said yes and a wonderful volunteer drove him to us. Sterling is a gorgeous long haired cat with a very regal demeanor. But he’s also very sweet and friendly! In 2022, developed a large mass (literally the size of a golf ball) attached to his intestines that we had removed. Pathology showed that it was cancerous. Since then, he’s seemed to do very well and we watch his health very carefully. Sterling continues to be the sweet and loving kitty he’s always been – to people and to the other cats! You watch him on our live 24-hour cameras in House 2, Room 5.MeShare camera.
