Sunny D and her borther Cody had been through so much prior to coming to us. Their owner had abruptly passed away while in the home, leaving behind SunnyD and Cody, along with other cats. The owner was an incredible woman who rescued cats that nobody else wanted. She of course adopted Sunny D and Cody so they would have eachother in the home and then also rescued plenty of strays and gave them a loving sanctuary with her. After her passing, a supporter reached out to us pleading for help with the two. Both cats being leukemia positive, she knew animal control was not an option and these cats needed a place to call home after losing their owner. Of course we said yes and the journey of getting Cody and Sunny D to Blind Cat Rescue started! We have to give a big shout out to not only the incredible supporter and her friend who alerted us and drove the pair four hours to us, one way, but also some other very kind women who picked them up from the home and watched them until they were able to be driven down. Sunny D and Cody are currently decompressing from their journey and quarantining before they join the kiddos in Room 3 in House 1! Sunny D is the more social of the two at the moment and loves to head bonk your hand and meow at you. We are so excited to share them with you all!
