6/19 Dobby is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us from a rescue in Georgia.Dobby was an owner surrender to a high kill animal control center. He was pulled from animal control to be transported to another rescue. When he tested FELV+ that rescue canceled his spot. The rescue that hadhim had no foster homes available (they are a small group that focuses on TNR). Not only did they drive 6 hours to bring him to us, they sponsoredhim for 2 years. They rock in our book!He is a super friendly fellow and likes other cats. He is settling in nicelywith the other cats. You may watch him live on his camera:House 2 Room 1.

6/7/2023 Sweet Dobbie came to us 4 years ago from animal control after his family left him there. A rescue has signed up to take him but when he test FELV positive, they backed out. Yesterday he was spiking a 105 fever. Being a leukemia-positive cat we knew that was never a good thing. His blood work and x-rays told the story of a cat that was losing the fight against leukemia. He had 4 good years with us, healthy and doing well. Until now. The vet and I agreed that we were looking at cancer and it was time to let him go, no amount of intervention was going to fix this for him. He sat in my lap and went over the rainbow bridge. He was a funny fellow who would beg for treats like a dog, standing up on his hind legs. He liked to hang out with the other guys in the room. He liked to play and really loved to be brushed. We are so happy we were able to give him 4 good years that he was not going to get. We will not forget him.
