11/2016 Samantha was found as a stray. Her vet offered to help her to try to find a place for her to go
because she is both FIV+ Leukemia positive (FELV+) and she was scheduled to be euthanized. She felt that
she was so sweet and loving they had to try to find a place for her. They did not feel they could release
her back outside for fear she would infect other cats.
She is a very very sweet kitty who loves to sit in your lap.

4/27/2019 This is a difficult letter to be writing.
Samantha came to us 2 1/2 years ago as a double positive kitty who was going to
be euthanized if there was no place for her to go immediately. We were able to say
yes.
Samantha arrived scared to death but quickly became a very sweet friendly girl who
loved to sit in your lap. If you sat down she would be immediately in your lap.
The last few months she has struggled with her health, been to the vet so many
times, tried so many different medicines and treatments. Today she said enough.
She was done, she had had enough. She was refusing to eat, just laid there, would
not get up to go to the bathroom, just went in the bed peeing and pooping herself.
Her eyes said she was exhausted, let her go. So, she and I made our last trip to
the vet together and we set her free. I held her as she went over the rainbow bridge.
We tried so many times to try to fix what ever she had going on but in the end, she
will haunt me, I think we did too much for to long and should have let her go a week
ago. I hope she knows we loved her and only wanted her to get better so we could
have a lot more time with her. I hope she didn't suffer. She breaks my heart.
