Meet Desiree
Desiree is married with 3 sons. Her husbandjust medically retired after 18 years with the Army. She is a more of the behind the scene person. Shehelps in the office part of the day and responds onFacebook and helps in the buildings the rest of the day. She is our backup person and wears many hats.
Sadly our fears were correct with Brandy. She puffed upwith full blown FIP. We took her back to the vet and gotnew blood work and had the fluid tapped in her belly. All of herclinical symptoms, blood work, and abdominal fluid point towardsFIP. Yesterday, to our complete heartbreak, her condition beganto deteriorate and the time had come to make a decision. I held heras she returned to her make her. She purred to the end.
Jill - Raleigh & April from Orlando
Suzanne - I am not sure what state she is from.
Suzanne from Baltimore
There were so many others, please forgive me if I did not picture you.Thank you so much to everyonethat came!

A cute video of Brandy taken a few months ago when shewas healthy.
Snicker lucked out and did not have to have surgery, YEAH!After the vets did a CT scan they felt the object/spot was sosmall that they want to wait to do surgery. They felt thatantibiotics appeared to be resolving what ever it is. Theywant us to continue antibiotics and we will do another CT ina few months.
Major is doing well. He has had 3 chemo treatments so far.His weight loss has stopped. He has not regained weightbut has stabilized. He is eating and appears to be doing well.
FIP is a horrible disease that has no test that is 100% positive. There is no cure. It is diagnosed based upon symptoms. Puttingit in simple terms, if your cat has a fever that does not go awaywith antibiotics, blood work that has high protein, high globulinand low albumin, and your cat has fluid in their abdomen your oddsare high that you are dealing with FIP or something else really bad. Here is a link to more info about FIP.
