Charity
When she arrived
Getting better
Blind Gender: Female Approximate age: 10 as of 2024 Arrived From: Lumberton, North Carolina Arrival Day: June 2014A local rescue got a call from a man who hated cats and reported one was on his front porch. He wanted the cat gone and lucky for Charity, one of the rescue’s volunteers rushed over and got her. They then called us for advice because she was very sick and they had no experience with a kitten with such severe eye problems. We told them to get her to us immediately. One of her eyes had ruptured and the other one was bulging out of her head, probably from an untreated upper respiratory infection. Charity went right to the vet and we got her on antibiotics. Her other eye then ruptured at the vet’s office. Then she became a normal, playful kitten! A couple of months later, when Charity was older and healthier, she was spayed and both her eyes were closed up. She was feeling so much better, playing and acting like a normal kitten! Charity is all grown up now and a very sweet girl who’s known for her “upper body” wheel running! You might catch her doing that on our live cameras in House 2, Room 3 live 24 hours a day on her MeShare Camera
