Ella
1/26/2016 Little Ella owes her life to one of our employees being in the right place at the right time. Chris had gone in to our local animal control (5 minutes away) to look for a cat for a friend, and who did she find there, Ella. She came back to the shelter (ours) and begged me to take her. I was shocked the shelter had not called me to let me know she was there! I sent Chris back for her. She was to be euthanized in a few hours. She is a tiny 4.6 pounds! Skin and bones! We were told she was an owner surrender due to family problems. X-rays show this poor baby has 3 broken vertebra odontoid processes in her back. They are being held only by ligaments. Crazy looking x-ray! Once we get some weight on her she will get spayed and see the eye doctor to determine if we need to remove her left eye (it has collapsed) She is very scared right now, feels safest if she can hide in a bed or under one. She is also friendly. She has moved into her room, and is adjusting. She is not fond of the cats but doing better. She is spayed now, her eye taken care of and is now healthy. You can watch her 24/7 LIVE on Our MeShare Pet Cam She is in House 2, Room 2
