Fergie
8/18 Fergie is a leukemia positive kitty who was found as a stray. When she test positive the vet suggested the finder euthanize her. Lucky for her, she is a very friendly little girl so she did not want to kill her. She reached out to us for help. She had other cats and the vet had her convinced she could not be with her other cats. Fergie is very friendly towards humans. So far she is not fond of other cats. Her first medical appointment showed that she is very anemic. We are trying to get her in better shape so we may get her spayed. We hope she will become nicer to the other kitties once she is fixed. Update, All fixed now and into her room. She is still not thrilled with the other cats but doing better. Sponsored by Bryan - Thank you!
She has an opinion about other cats.

11/25/18 This is a very sad letter to be writing today. 3 months ago when Fergie arrived we knew very quickly that she was not going to be here long. Leukemia was firmly in charge. Her blood work showed she was severely anemic. An ultrasound showed that she had metastatic cancer on most of her organs. The vet wanted to try an iron treatment to see if her system would rally and buy her more time. It did for a very short time, she appeared to feel better and was active and playing. A few weeks ago she was back at the vet because she was losing weight although she was eating. Blood work showed the anemia was back with a full vengeance. We already had her on cancer drugs to try to hold it at bay, we were losing the battle. She was still active and not ready to go. This weekend her health was going downhill, today she was clearly ready for us to let her go. She was a very sweet little girl, very friendly, loved to sit in your lap. I held her in my arms as she crossed the rainbow bridge. We will miss our little redhead :) I am sorry, Alana
