6/2019 Gumdrop is a leukemia positive kitty. She came to us from a rescue in Georgia. The rescue operates a spay neuter clinic, is foster home based and does not have a facility. They needed a place for her to go quickly. Gumdrop is a young scared little girl. She will let us handle her so we hope she will become friendlier with time. You may see her live on her pet camera. She has made friends with Gomez, one of her room mates. You may watch her live camera HERE

4/24/2020 RIP Gumdrop Gumdrop was a shy leukemia positive little girl who arrived at BCR in June 2019.  Today she started vomiting,  open mouth breathing and was rushed to the vet.  Her gums were pale white.  Her  blood work showed she was severely anemic to the point that it was no long term life sustaining.    The vet and I made the decision to let her go.  She went quietly in my arms.  Leukemia always wins in the end.  Gumdrop was a very sweet quiet little girl.  She was best friends with Gomez.  You would often see them cuddling together.  She will be missed by all that knew her. I am sorry Alana
