Houdini
2/2023 Sweet Houdini is a leukemia positive kitty. It took a village to save his life. He was a community cat who had been fixed and was in a managed colony. The group had thank goodness micro-chipped him. He was hit by a car and taken to animal control. They scanned him and found the chip. They contacted the rescue and gave them a few hours to come get him or he would be euthanized. They are a small rescue in Miami. They put a message out to start trying to raise money to get him the surgery he needed. One leg was broken and one leg needed to be amputated. They did not have the $2000+ it was going to cost to help him. One of our supporters contacted us about him and we picked up the balance above what they raised. ($1500) And because he is also FELV+ we agreed to accept him after the surgery. He had his front leg removed and his back leg had surgery also. He is still healing but seems to be doing well. With the help of our fly angel Davica, she hoped on an airplane to bring him to us. This is a very very nice fellow and we are so glad that because of your love and support, we are able to help him. 5/2023 Update, he has healed well and you may watch him live on his cat camera, he is house 2, Room 1. He is just the nicest cat!
