Izzy
12/30/2024 Dear Sponsors, It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that this morning, we helped Izzy cross the Rainbow Bridge. At Blind Cat Rescue, we believe in letting our cats go on a good day, not a bad one. We did everything we could to give her a fighting chance, considering the health challenges she faced in recent months. Though Izzy still found joy in the little things and her bonds with her friends, her body couldn’t keep up. The hardest decision was knowing when to let go, as Izzy would never tell us herself. This morning, we let her leave her room and walk down the hall, with staff cheering her on. Even in saying goodbye, Izzy comforted each of us with her healing purrs, letting us know it was okay. I spent those last moments with her, holding her close and telling her how much she meant to so many. I reassured her that her friends, Lt, Sterling, and Merlin would be okay and that they loved her deeply. There are countless stories about how much she meant to us over the past 13 years. Thank you for giving her a chance at life and allowing us to create those memories. We want to express our gratitude for all the love and support you showed during her time with us. Your kindness meant the world to Izzy and to all of us here at Blind Cat Rescue. Forever in Our Hearts, Sam
