Jaxie

FeLV+ Gender: Male Approximate age: Arrived From: Wake Fores, North Carolina Arrival Day: August 2, 2026 At just five months old, Jaxie has already overcome more than most cats ever should. He first found himself at animal control alongside his sister. They were pulled by a rescue, only to be returned the very next day. Thankfully, another rescue learned about their situation and stepped in, giving these tiny kittens the fresh start they deserved. When they arrived, Jaxie and his sister were heartbreakingly thin and far too weak to eat on their own. They needed around-the-clock care, including syringe feeding, until they were finally strong enough to thrive. Once they were healthy enough for routine testing, Jaxie received a diagnosis that would change the course of his journey, he tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV), while his sister tested negative. Jaxie needed a place where he could be loved exactly as he is and a home with plenty of space to run, play, and simply be a kitten. And what a kitten he is! Jaxie is, without question, one of the most playful kittens we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. If there were a professional soccer league for cats, he'd be the star player. He can chase, dribble, and bat toy balls across the room with impressive skill, and he never seems to run out of energy. He also loves to climb, explore every corner he can reach, and turn anything into his next adventure. These days, Jaxie is living his best life with his best friend, Slurp. The two are already inseparable, partners in crime, constantly romping around the room, getting into harmless mischief, and enthusiastically meowing at anyone who walks by in hopes of earning a little extra attention. Despite the challenges he's faced, Jaxie wakes up every day with an incredible zest for life. His FeLV diagnosis doesn't define him, his joyful spirit, endless curiosity, and love for play do. We're so grateful to be part of Jaxie's journey and can't wait to watch this remarkable little boy continue to grow, thrive, and fill every person he'll meet with his infectious happiness.
