BlindGender: MaleApproximate age:Arrived From:Arrival Day: 2010When talking about cat personalities, Licorice is Personality Plus! He came to BCR in 2010 because his owner was moving and decided he couldn’t go with her. When we were alerted about his situation one early morning,we were told his owner’s plan was to take him to the vet that same day to be euthanized! Lucky for Licorice, the woman’s mother didn’t believe that killing him just because he was an inconvenience was fair, and she drove him two hours to get him to BCR. When he arrived, we were stunned to find out that out he had received no medical care, no shots, and was not neutered. We took care of all that and Licorice is has grown into one of our most beloved characters. He loves the other cats and especially people and always stands on his hind legs and reaches up to make sure he gets attention. He is very, very sweet and we can’t imagine someone moving and leaving him behind. You can visit with Licorice 24 hours a day on our live cameras in House 2, Room 4! HERE
