Little Gray

11/2020 Little Gray is a leukemia positive kitty. She came to us from animal control with her 4 brothers. They had run out of time and were going to be euthanized. She is a very friendly, playful little girl. We hope we will get to watch her grow up.

1/17/2021 RIP Little Gray Little Gray is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us in November with her brothers from animal control where there were going to be euthanized. Their time was up.  One of the brothers was in horrible shape when he arrived and died 2 days after arriving. Little Gray is a friendly little kitty with a huge purr.  She is sweet and very inquisitive.  We took her back to the vet 2 days ago because we were seeing the signs of FIP.  She was running a fever, dropping weight even though she was eating and her little belly was really getting big.  The vet did an ultrasound and pulled a bunch of fluid off which confirmed what I already knew.  Since she was still eating and did not appear to be ready, the vet agreed that we could take her home, manage the fever and we would be back in a few days when it was time.  Today her fever was 105.5   It was time,  her little belly was huge,  it was time to let her go. She went over the bridge purring in my arms. She was a fun sweet little kitten that got 2 more months than she was going to get at animal control.  She was cared and held at the end.  Sometimes that is just the best we can do.  We were blessed to have been able to give that to her.
