Lurch
8/18 Lurch came to us with his 2 sisters, Wednesday and Morticia. (Yes we are naming them after the Adams family, smile) They are all leukemia positive. They were rescued in Georgia by a small rescue who placed them in a foster home. When the foster home was losing her home she reached out to us to see if we could take them. The rescue had made an appointment to euthanize them because they were positive and they had no place to take them. He also came in with an eye that badly needed to be removed, so we had that taken care of. Lurch is a very shy kitty, but is starting to warm up to some of the humans. He has developed into a very experienced wheel walker! You may watch him LIVE on his live camera. He is in house 2, room 4

2/10/2020 Lurch is a leukemia positive cat who arrived 8/18 with his 2 sisters from a small rescue in Georgia. They were in a foster home that was losing their home and had an appointment to be euthanized. Saturday Lurch started having problems walking, he was falling over, we thought he was having a seizure. He was rushed to the vet. X-rays, blood work etc were done. He continued being Ataxic and vestibular and he had become blind so it was not a seizure. Medicines to try to stop his neurological symptoms were tried to no avail. His condition continued to deteriorate over the weekend. After a lot of discussion with the vets the sad decision was made to let him go. We are going to have a necropsy done to find out what we were fighting with. When Lurch arrived he was a spit fire, as unfriendly as could be. With lots of love and care, he became a very sweet friendly kitty who loved humans and running his wheel. He went over the rainbow quietly in my arms. He will be missed, he was a fun playful fellow who loved to run the door just to see how fast he could make the staff run to catch him. I am sorry Alana
