Mariah
Blind
Gender: Female
Approximate age:
Arrived From: Haines City, Florida
Arrival Day: December 12th, 2024
Little miss Mariah was found in a grassy median of a 8 lane highway in Haines City,
Florida. A kind lady was able to scoop her up in a blanket. Mariah was obviously
terrified but the kind lady took her to the vet. There they found she was a senior blind
kitty. The wonderful lady who saved her contacted us as she was unable to keep Mariah
hoping to find her a home. Thankfully we were able to take her in & our incredible
flight angel Davica flew miss Mariah, our Christmas queen, all the way from the
Orlando airport! After she arrived Sam & Jessie went to pick her up to bring her
to her new forever home! She is doing well and currently enjoying adjusting to
new home and helping out the social media girls. She will be heading to the vet
tomorrow to be checked out!

Dear Supporters,
I write to you today with a heavy heart to inform you of the passing of our beloved
Mariah. While her time with us was far too short, it was filled with love and care. Your
kindness and generosity made it possible for her to know what it feels like to be
cherished, to have a full belly, and to receive the medical care she needed.
Mariah's journey began in a heartbreaking way—found on the side of a busy eight-
lane highway in the middle of winter, blind and suffering from kidney disease. No cat
should have to endure such hardship, but she was fortunate to have found her way
to us, where she was surrounded by warmth, compassion, and the care she so
deserved.
Unfortunately, her condition continued to decline. Despite our best efforts, she
stopped eating and her bloodwork worsened. After several days of hospitalization,
we tried every possible approach to support her kidneys and provide comfort. The
vet and I both hoped for improvement, but we ultimately faced the difficult reality that
her body had grown too weak to continue.
I want to express my deep gratitude to you for your unwavering support. Mariah’s
chance at love, care, and comfort was made possible because of you. Although her
time was brief, it was meaningful, and she knew she was loved.
We will forever miss her meows, and her catitude. She was a lady who knew what
she wanted.
Thank you again for all that you did for her. We couldn’t have done it without you.
With heartfelt gratitude and warmest wishes,
Sam
