Gender: FemaleApproximate age:Arrived From:Arrival Day: February 2021Momma was a stray cat who made a home under a trailer on the BCR property to haveher kittens! We didn’t know she was there until we saw the kittens playing outside!Because we are firm believers in spaying and neutering non-owned cats, we trappedher and her fixed right away. The kittens were easily tamed and we worked with a localrescue about finding them homes. (Doing that allowed us to take two of the rescue’sleukemia positive kittens! ) Momma was another story. She was very feral at the timebut we were able to move her into a room so she was safe. In the beginning she didn’tlike anyone and swatted at whoever got too close. After two years, Momma is doingbetter and will allow some pets. She is very fond of batting cat toy balls back when they are tossed her way! Momma won’t ever be an adoptable cat but she will always have a home at BCR. You can see Momma on our live 24-hour cameras in House 2, Room 5. here.
