NIGEL
10/29/2016 Nigel is a very sweet, FELV+ kitty who came to us from Miami. A rescuer is fixing all the strays at a trailer park and trying to find homes for the friendly ones. he test FELV+ positive she desperately started looking for a place for him to go. Sadly we had space available. They work with a wonderful lady who works for the airline who put him on the plane and flew him to Raleigh. Another person who actually helped with Noel being rescued picked him up at the airport and drove him to us. He owes his life to several people really going out of their way to save his life. He is friendly but still very frightened about the changes in his life. Sponsored by Stephanie - Thank you! Sponsored by Bob - Thank you! Sponsored by Wendy & Lee - Thank you! Sponsored by Virginia - Thank you! Sponsored by Rachel - Thank you! Sponsored by Cyd - Thank you!

12/22/2017 Nigel had begun losing weight 2 months ago, we had taken him to the vet and blood work was done. We could see that we were beginning to lose the battle to leukemia. He was eating and not saying to us it was time yet. Today he stopped eating. Blood work confirmed that we had reached the end. Leukemia was completely in charge now and it was time to let him go. He had become a very friendly affectionate fellow once he settled down. We were blessed to have given him a year of love and care.
