8/18 Ophelia is a leukemia positive cat. She was turned into a vets office when she tested positive for leukemia. The vets office tried for months to find a place for her to go. Finally the decision was made that if she was not placed she would be euthanized. A member of the staff drove from Georgia to bring her to us. She is a very very friendly little girl. We hope she likes other kitties. Update, she does not like other cats at all. Loves humans. We are hoping with some socialization she will change her mind. You may watch her LIVE on her live camera. You may see her from https://blindcatrescue.com/watchus.htm He is in House 2, room 1. Sponsored by XineAnn - Thank you! Sponsored by Morten - Thank you! Sponsored by Luz Angela - Thank you! As you know, Ophelia has been having a lot of difficulty with her health. She has been to the vet many times and hospitalized twice. This morning Ophelia was having difficulty breathing and we rushed her to the vet. She passed away at the vets office while they were examining her. They did everything possible to save her but sadly she died. Ophelia came to us 9 months ago when she was going to be euthanized because she was leukemia positive. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to know her. She was a very sweet kitty, she loved the humans as much as we loved her. She will be missed.
