BlindGender: MaleApproximate age:Arrived From: Pender County, NCArrival Day: 2012Sandy was just a kitten when he came to BCR from the Pender County Animal Control Center. He is lucky that this shelter has some great volunteers who work hard to network the animals that come in. Sweet little Sandy was sick and thin when he arrived here, with ulcerated bulging eyes from an infection and very thin. With good food, medication and care, Sandy improved and we could have him fixed and his very painful eyes removed. Sandy has always been a very sweet and friendly cat who loves laps. He is a Snowshoe Siamese cat and started off a light buff color, but as he’s aged, he’s gotten a much richer darker color! Sandy’s favorite toy is a possum he carries around in his mouth while singing! He wants everyone to know about his prize! It’s hard to imagine a sweeter cat and we’re so happy he’s living his life at BCR! He is very sweet and friendly! You may catch him with his possum on our live 24-hour cameras in House 2, Room 3.
