4/2019 Merlin is a blind, deaf and neurological cat who came to us from animal control in Florida. She is another kitty who shows that it takes a village sometimes to save a life. We were notified she was going to be euthanized in the animal control facility. We put a call out to Davica (our flight angel who has helped transport several kitties to us). Davica knows everyone in Florida and made some calls and quickly had lined up a foster home for her and gotten her sprung from the pound. Thanks to Maribell, Suzanne, Nicole, Wendy, Randy, Dr. Kristi & Elizabeth who all helped make this happened. Then Thorn, our transport angel met Davica at the airport in Raleigh and drove 2 hours to bring her to us. (Thank you Thorn!) She has been to our vet now and is in decent condition considering all factors. She is a super sweet to humans, absolutely hates other cats. It is going to be interesting with her. 2020 Update - She is in a room now and has learned to live with other cats. We think her previous reaction was fear.
