A kind woman found and rescued the pair of them but found that she could not keep them. She contacted us and we agreed to take them in. She brought them in from New York, as well as made a large donation to cover all their immediate medical bills. Poppy and Jamie had very infected and ulcerated eyes (most likely stemming from an upper respiratory infection) that were removed once they were older and weighed enough. In the years since Poppy has grown to be a lovely girl with a big personality. She is extremely friendly, loves being all over everyone, climbing to the top of every climber, and is very playful.
