11/18 Andrew came to us from a TNR situation. The people are feeding a large colonyand Andrew was a very friendly kitty. They took him home with plans of giving him a home. Then he tested leukemia positive. They were devastated. They had other cats at home andtheir vet was recommending putting him to sleep. With the help of several people, he got to ride in first class with Davica and was flownto BCR. He is a very nice fellow, still a little freaked out at his new situation. You may watch him live on his pet cam:log in is admin@blindcatrescue.com password is passwordHie is in House 1, Room 1 Sponsored by Deb - Thank you! 7/29/2020 RIP AndrewAndrew came to us almost 2 years ago from Florida after being trapped by a TNR group. (They were fixing a large group of unfixed cats) He was friendly so they knew he should get a chance for a home. When he tested Leukemia positive they contacted us and asked if we could help him. With the help of our fly Angel Davica, she flew him to us riding first class.Yesterday Andrew as not himself. He was not playful and his belly had swollen up and was very hard. We were concerned that he was either very constipated or had developed FIP. We immediately took him to the vet. When the vet put the ultrasound probe on him we were both saddened to see a huge tumor on his kidney and his kidney had become necrotic (It had died) The other kidney was not in good shape and there was fluid in his abdomen. Being leukemia positive, we knew that there was no way to fix this. He went over the rainbow bridge quietly in my arms. Andrew was a bit of a shy fellow but his playful personality came out. He became best friends with Bear and you would find them sleeping together often. We know he will be very missed by everyone, especially Bear. We were lucky to have had the opportunity to be with him for the time we had. Sadly, in the end, leukemia will always win.I am sorry
