Cora
2006 A lady in Minnesota that fed stray cats found Cora walking in the snow towards the food bowl. She noticed something was different about this cat (she was friendly, unlike the feral’s that she fed and she was blind!) She took her in. She found herself in the situation of having to move and could not find a place that she could afford that would allow her to have her animals. She put a call out on the Internet and we offered to give Cora a home. When she came to us Cora was approx 4 years old, super sweet, loves to sit in your lap and purrs. 2007 Cora has developed bleeding blood vessels in her large blue eye. The vet felt it would be best to remove the eye. She came through surgery like a champ. 2014 Cora has developed bleeding blood vessels in her existing eye and it has been removed. She is doing well. Sweet Cora came to us over 12 years ago during a cold winter in Minnesota. She was approx 4 or 5 years old at the time. She, as she got older, had developed kidney disease. We knew our time was coming to an end soon, her kidneys were failing, fluids and medicine were no longer helping, she was losing weight. Today it was time. I held her in my arms as she took her last breath. I promised her a forever home, and kept that promise to the end. We will bring her home to the memorial garden. She was such a sweet kitty who loved to play in catnip toys. Her favorite thing was to jump in the catnip toy bucket and roll around in it. She will be missed. I am so sorry! Alana
