Dash
8/19 Dash is a leukemia positive shy little girl who came to us from Animal Control in Tennessee. They were trapping and fixing stray cats in a local trailer park. Over 100 cats!! The friendly ones they found homes for. When Dash test positive for leukemia the vet refused to euthanize a healthy kitten thus saving her life. She came to us with 2 other kitties. These are the first ones their shelter has ever placed that were positive for FELV. She just arrived a few days ago. She is shy and friendly.

11/26/2019 This is a very difficult letter to be writing. Last week we took Dash  (leukemia positive)  to the vet because she had labored breathing.  Fluid was found in her chest.  She was hospitalized and most of the fluid was removed and sent out to the lab to find out what it was.  She just did not look like she was ready to go yet.  She came home with lots of meds.  We were fighting an attacker that had no name while we waited on the tests of the fluid.  I was pretty certain it was going to be FIP but she was still eating and was not ready.   Today she had stopped eating and had labored breathing.  We knew the fluid was back and it was time to let her go.  The tests did show it was FIP.   She went over the rainbow quietly in my arms.  Dash was a very sweet little girl that had finally started trusting humans and coming out to play with us.  We wish we had had years with her instead of months.    I am so sorry Alana
