EGGROLL
9/19 Eggroll is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us from a rescue in Pennsylvania. They had had him for 9 months living in a cage with no adoption opportunities. They knew living in a cage forever was not the life he deserved and reached out to us to see if we could take him. He is a nice kitty but terrified of humans. He is enjoying being out of the cage but runs and hides when humans come in. He seems to like the other cats. We hope he will learn to trust us and come out of his shell. You may watch him on his live camera here He is in house 2, room 4

This is a very very unexpected letter to be writing this morning.  Eggroll came to us a little over a year ago after living in a small cage at a humane society.  He was leukemia positive.   For the last year, he has lived free, playing with his kitty friends, and getting pets from humans.    This morning,  he was up and about at breakfast time.  Staff began cleaning and were shocked to find that he had laid down and passed away suddenly.    He was taken to the vet and she felt that the sudden death was caused by him throwing a blood clot and there was nothing anyone could have done to change the outcome.  We are having a necropsy done. The necropsy showed he died of leukemia. We are so glad that with some BCR love he was able to overcome his fear and feel safe and happy.  He was a very sweet cat and we are glad he got to know care and love for the last year of his life.  He will be missed by all.
