GIGI
2/2020 Gigi is a senior blind and deaf kitty who was found in a cemetery in pretty rough condition. The finder took her to the local vets office because she did not want to take her to animal control for fear that she would have been euthanized. (The odds are very high that is exactly what would have happen!) The vets office did not want to take her to animal control because of the same fear so they reached out to us to see if we could take her. One of their techs drove her 3 hours to us. Gigi is a super super friendly little girl, loves humans. We are trying to get her in better shape and then hope she likes other cats so she can go into a room. She has heart and kidney issues. You can tell she has had a rough life. It is hard to get a decent picture of her, she loves being pet and won’t stay still. She also loves cat nip toys. She has now moved into a room, you may watch her live 24 hours a day HERE

7/16/2020 Sweet Gigi came to us in Feb.  after being found starving in a cemetery.  Old, blind and deaf,  we will never know how she came to be there. We could tell by her condition that she had gone through some really hard times in her life.  Someone had cared and loved her at some point in her life, she still loved humans.  Maybe she knew we were trying to help her.  When she arrived we had a full medical workup done on her and we knew that we were hospice for her.   She has significant heart and kidney disease.   We vowed to make her time with us the best we could for her.   She knew what it was to not be hungry,  warm, dry, sleep on soft beds, loved and cared for.  Sometimes that is all we can do.  She was not doing great last night, I felt that today was going to be "the day" but I had hoped that we might get a miracle.  Her blood work was just horrible.  Severely anemic,  kidneys basically not working.  It was time to let her go.  I held her in my arms, loving on her as she crossed over the rainbow bridge.  She purred to the end.  She was such a sweet loving girl who trusted us no matter what.  I just wish we could have had so much longer with her.  I am sorry Alana
