Loki
Approximate Age (As of 2017) Less than 1 year Breed: Domestic Short Hair Status: FELV+ Date Arrived: July 2017 Arrival Location: Georgia Loki was found as a kitten living under a parking ramp with his feral mother and siblings. The kind woman who found them worked hard to capture Loki, along with his brother Thor. She has still been working to catch the mother and other kittens. She fell in love with the pair and wanted to give them a home with her and her other cats, but they tested feline leukemia positive. Heartbroken, she started looking for a good home for them where they could stay together. The pair came to us recently and have been adjusting well. Loki is a sweet baby, but very shy at the moment. He and his brother love to cuddle and play. You may watch him live 24 hours a day on his MeShare camera. He is in House 2, Room 2

RIP Loki- This is the letter I sent his sponsors: This is a sad unexpected letter to have to be writing. We took Loki to the vet yesterday because he was obviously not feeling good, he was running a 106 fever and his belly was distended. We knew that this was one of 2 things, lymphoma or FIP The blood work and ultrasound confirmed that was in fact FIP. FIP is 100% fatal Researchers are still trying to find a cure, there are studies being done but a vaccine for it is still 1 or 2 years away. FIP is very painful and the cats suffer greatly at the end. We knew sadly it was the right thing to say goodbye to him. He purred in my arms as he took his last breath. He was a fun active fellow who kept us in stitches with his antics. We know Stubbs will miss cuddling with him. I am so sorry Alana
