Hi Alana,
It's me again. we have a beautiful big red tabby at our
Florence Area Humane Society that tested positive for FIV.
They are on the cusp of putting him down, actually they
sedated him this morning getting ready to do just that. I called
the shelter just in time to put a delay on it to see if I can find
him a place to go. They tell me he is very, very sweet.
Are you full? Or could you possibly take him? We are a kill
shelter and very overloaded right now (as all the shelters
probably are)  Please let me know asap”
Can't get much closer to death than sedated and waiting for
 the second needle can you?
He is a very sweet FIV+ fellow who I think is very happy to still be alive.

Fellows like this one,  in severe danger and needing some place to
go,  is why we do what we do.

maker.  He had kidney cancer and was suffering.  We will always
remember him for the sweet gentle kind soul that he was.  We

2011 Miracle got his name because it is a true miracle that he is alive. We received an email from a rescue that we have worked with before about an FIV cat in a shelter in Florence SC. This cat was slated to be put down the day she contacted us, actually they had already sedated him to do him. (They typically do a mass euthanizing....they sedate a bunch and then come back with the second drug to kill them.)
