Mr. Stubbs
6/2016 Mr Stubbs is a leukemia positive cat who came to us from animal control in Myrtle Beach. (a kill shelter) The operations manager was desperately trying to find a place for the cats to go. With it being kitten season, the shelter is full and the vet is saying put them down. He owes his life to her. He is friendly but shy. Seems to get along with other cats. 11/8/2017 Mr. Stubbs developed respiratory problems today and was rushed to the vet. X-rays showed a large mass and considerable amount of lymphocytes in his lungs. Being a leukemia positive cat we knew that there was no fixing this and he was panting for air. He was absolutely suffering. The vet and I agreed the kindest thing would be to let him go. I held him in my arms as he took his last breath. We were blessed to have known him for a year and a half. He lost his buddy Loki a few weeks ago, now they are back together.
