11/23/2020 Owen is a leukemia positive kitty who came to us with his 3 siblings from animal
control. Their time was up and they were scheduled to be euthanized.
When he arrived he was very sick with a bad upper respiratory infection. He was also
emaciated. He saw our vet yesterday (the day after he arrived) and blood work was done.
11/25/2020 Today we took him back in because he was running 105 and his abdomen was
very swollen. We hoped it was something treatable but knew in our hearts
it was FIP. Sadly it was. This is not fixable for a leukemia positive kitty.
I held him in my arms purring and kneading to the end. This sweet kitty got dealt
a rotten set of cards. We so wish we had had the opportunity to spend more time with him.
