Shelly was rescued by Jennifer along with Marge, Homer & Clementine.Shelly came from a breeder who wasn't able to sell her because she didn't "meet the breed standards." She came with with a very bad eye infection. Both eyes were full of pus and swollen. She was diagnosed with a viral herpes infection. After about a month of treatment, she had to have her right eye removed because it was bulging and painful. She has always been a very sweet, playful little girl. If you drag something noisy in front of her, she will bat at it and catch it with her paw. Jennifer discovered quickly how hard it is to find a home for a blind cat in Texas, the shelters all said they would kill them. She put them on a plane and flew them to us.Shelly is an absolute love bug. She is the one that is always first to sit in your lap. She loves to give kisses and will gently stroke your face with her paw.Shelly started having problems with eye infections so we decided to go ahead and remove them. Doesn't she look cute?Sponsored by Rex - Thank you!Sponsored by Charlotte - Thank you!Sponsored by Jolynn - Thank you!Sponsored by Yvonne - Thank you!Sponsored by Beryl - Thank you!

1/17/2016 Shelly had been sick for the last few weeks and had been diagnosedwith pancreatitis. She had been doing better but started losing weight againso we had a feeding tube placed so we could try to get her stronger and herwight stable again. Sadly she passed away in her sleep. We were so blessedto have her in our life. She rejoins her brother Homer at the Rainbow Bridge. We strongly think she died from cancer. We are having a necropsy done to try toget answers. The necropsy gave us no answers.
