Valencia
Jan 2019 - Little Valencia came to us from some people that found her at a truck stop while traveling through the area. They looked us up and realized they would be passing us on the highway and stopped and asked for help. One our board members was here and accepted her. (I was out of town in Valencia Italy, on vacation, thus the name.) He thought she was sick and going to die and not strong enough to survive the trip with them. In reality all she had was a bad upper respiratory infection and was a healthy eater. She was taken to he vet and started on antibiotics. She was approx. 6 weeks old when she arrived. She is going to be spayed and have her eyes taken care of soon. She is a fun, friendly little girl. We will have fun watching her grow up. 2019 Update. Valencia is leukemia positive. She is a fun little girl who likes to walk on her wheel. You may watch her live on her cat camera. She is in room 4

9/18/2021 This is a sad letter to be writing today. Valencia has been struggling for the last month with her health.  She spent 5 days in the hospital last week.  She had test after test, medicine after medicine and we were still losing the battle.  Today she said enough.  She wouldn't eat,  her mouth was white, she obviously felt like hades,  it was time to let her go.  Sadly being born a leukemia-positive cat she had a really bad set of cards dealt her and leukemia always wins in the end. She was a fun playful little girl who loved to chase toys and run on her cat wheel. She loved to sit in your lap and get loved on.  She will be missed.
